Manakrati started with one practice flower and a hook. Today six artisans crochet bouquets, jewellery and décor to order from a studio in Jaipur — slowly, deliberately, and entirely by hand.
Four stages, roughly a week and a half, and one person seeing your piece through from the first stitch to the box.
There is no warehouse. Nothing is sitting in a box waiting for a buyer, so the moment you press order, a note appears on our board and your piece gets added to the week.
That is the honest reason we ask for 7 to 10 days. Nothing exists yet.
Made to order, every time
Cotton and cotton-blend, bought in small lots because that is what we can afford to hold. Someone sits with the shades and matches them against what you chose.
Lots shift slightly between batches. Your blush will not be identical to the one in the photo, and we stopped apologising for that a while ago.
Small lots, slight variation
Your piece is not passed down a line. One artisan starts it and the same artisan finishes it, counting stitches, undoing the row that went wrong, shaping each petal by hand.
A single bouquet bloom takes about forty minutes. A full bouquet is most of a day.
Around 40 minutes per bloom
Boxed in tissue, tied with lace, because most of what we make is going to someone who matters. If you left a note, it goes in written out by hand.
Then it goes to the courier, and the tracking link lands in your inbox the same day.
Tracked, and gift-ready
Six artisans work with us on piece rates they set. No middlemen, no rush orders that mean unpaid overtime.
Offcuts from bouquet wraps stuff our bag charms. Yarn ends become the practice flowers we give away.
Fresh flowers last a week. These hold their colour and shape for years with nothing but an occasional dusting.
We take custom colourways and bulk orders for weddings and events. Tell us what you have in mind and we will come back with a price and a timeline.
There is no support team. You are talking to the people who made your piece.
